Look on the bright side AO.  If el Nino brought too much rain.  There would be so much standing water, that Zika would be all over the news since there would be so many mosquitos.

The lakes and reservoirs in SoCal sure could use some standing water though.

It's sad to see part of Big Bear Lake totally dry, and the main part have its' shoreline recede by several tens of feet.

Predicted rain for central O.C. area from now through all of March = around 1.5 inches.

 

Wonderful El No-No we are having.

Every baseball player refrains from PEDs.

Sixers win their next NBA title.

Near 80 up here today but....rain/snow over the next 3 days....then back to near 80 next week.

Starting to feel a lot like spring, and the wild daffodils and irises are blooming. Picked morels in the upper Merced River Canyon over the weekend. The river itself is a big as it's been in many years.

Not really ready for winter to be over, we still need more rain.

You're making my point. AO does not like dry, warm weather. He should move to a climate that isn't "boring"

It used to NOT be boring, until these past 5 years (6 inches of rain average per year ONLY).

SoCal average of 15 inches of rain/year (through July 2010-June 2011 year) is NOT boring, and still leaves PLENTY of sunshine days.
