WTF is with this bleeping weather?

Recommended Posts

6th warmest ever in Denver.

It was mid 70s today, should be again tomorrow, and possibly snow Wednesday night.

Yea after we got flurries last week it was low 70s the last couple days and in the mid 60s the rest of the week with lows in the upper 30s.  Weird weather.

In Philadelphia it's in the 70s.

Last night I was out walking and it was about 78 with a light breeze. Gorgeous night. You could really forget where you are if not for the ugly beige duplexes with the flat roofs, the 20 foot fence with the razor wire, and the F-15's flying final approach just east of us.

Watch out for that cyclone heading up from the Arabian Sea. Yemen is about to be even more ****ed than normal.

Bold, the station closest to my house...

Lots of frosted ground this morning.

My favorite time of the year, by far.

We are getting it up here. Rained hard all night last night, with another round headed in this evening.

Cold storms though, not really the el Nino kind of tropical (pineapple express) storm.

This next round is supposed to contain some hail and T-storms.

Been good rain though...long and steady...which is what we need up here to refill the groundwater, and keep the burned mountainsides on the sides of the mountains, where they belong.

Weekly Update (November 9, 2015):
Strong El Niño conditions remain in place. The weekly sea surface temperature reading, taken within the Niño 3.4 region near the equator, has risen to 2.8°C above average. This is the highest value observed to date during this event and ties the highest weekly departure of 2.8°C recorded in late November 1997 during the record-setting 1997-98 El Niño. NOAA provides an update on El Niño conditions each Monday.

Relax AO, the rain will come.
