WTF is with this bleeping weather?

Currently it is 72 degrees in my edit bay. I should turn the thermostat down just for the good of the equipment but I'm trying to prevent the glaciers from melting in the Antarctic.

Fires in Camp Pendleton and near Carlsbad.

The Carlsbad fire has gotten into some houses. Been a gnarly black plume of smoke for awhile.

 

I'm surrounded by 3 plumes of smoke. Camp Pendleton, Fallbrook and San Marcos all on fire as well.

The fire in San Marcos is growing and moving south of the Cal State campus. Lots of neighborhoods being evacuated.

 

Several homes destroyed in Carlsbad.

 

I-5 is jammed all the way to Mission Viejo.

760 AM in San Diego is reporting the Camp Pendleton fire is burning up a hill towards the ammo dump.

the hotter the weather, the more the arsonists like to play. it's no accident that most of our fires start on the really, really hot days with low humidity. i'd wager all of them are the result of arson, with very few exceptions.

The San Marcos fire has suddenly roared up and is threatening lots of homes. Very bad situation.
