And the 76'ers draw within one game in the win column with a W against the Pistons tonight!  YES!!!!  Those two remaining games against them are looming large.

Just looked at the NBA schedule and New York plays Minnesota tonight and Philly tomorrow night.  VERY good chance that Minnesota closes to within two wins of us and Philly TIES us for wins tomorrow.  Things are heating up!

Jordan Clarkson has been a nice find this season.  For whatever reason, he slid into the second round of the draft last season when clearly he should've been a high first rounder.  Kind of sweet when you think about it.  How often do we luck out like that?

Agreed regarding losing to T-Wolves tonight.  Let's do this!!!

Clarkson is a pleasant surprise, and has the athleticism and length to play either guard spot.

Orlando is tanking too.

Just need to lose the rest of these games on this road trip.

Would be nice to avoid 60 losses, while at the same time being in good shape for a top 5 pick.

OK, here is my NO Top-5 pick plan and not a reach for the stars roster (i.e. reasonably attainable).

*Re-sign Lin and Ed Davis.

*Sign FA's Danny Green and Kosta Koufos.

*Draft PG Tyus Jones with the Houston pick and SF Justin Anderson with the early 2nd.  If we keep the Clippers 2nd, draft a euro to stash and develop.

PG  Clarkson/Lin/*Tyus Jones

SG  Kobe/Young  (Clarkson and Green could get minutes here too)

SF  Danny Green/*Justin Anderson/Kelly

PF  Randle/Ed Davis  (Kelly could get play here too)

C    Koufos/Black/Sacre

This is a nice, young, developing team that has a nice mix of guys who can defend, score and get out and run.  Plus, it gives us lots of assets with moveable contracts in an instance a stud becomes available via trade.  This is not the typical Lakers construction as they are adding NO huge stars.  That should wait until the 2016 and/or 2017 offseasons.  Next season will (and should) be about building.

The franchise needs to be appealing.  We aren't the 76'ers.  We will not continue to be as bad as we have been over the past two seasons and we will not tank any longer.  We wouldn't arguably be as bad as we are this season if not for season ending injuries to key players.  And we've remained competitive, nearly beating many good teams.  Worst case scenario....the roster above and then tons of cap for 2016.  Best case....add a top-5 player (Okafor, Towns, Russell, WCS, Winslow) to the mix.
