And the Celtics win yet another game, and the Lakers are FIRMLY entrenched in the 4th worst spot.

And here comes the Knicks, winners of 3 straight and only 4 wins less than the Lakers.

The Drive for Top Five is firmly on track.

The other bright spot is that the Knicks and 76ers play in the east and will both have more winnable matchups than us.  Minnesota will get healthy and should win more games than us moving forward too.  It's not impossible to end up with the worst record, but it's nice to be in the #4 spot now.

Potential playoff teams are falling apart and we need to take advantage.  Aldridge is injured up in Portland.  Can we send Jordan Hill to get a pick?  Jennings just suffered a potential ruptured achilles in Detroit.  Maybe they could use some point guard help?  Lin?  Not sure if we will do anything before the deadline but there are some needy teams for sure.

That isn't fair.  Top to bottom the east was awful but the top teams were good.  That was a very good Nets team and they went through a tough Detroit team.

I disagree. If you only need to get through one team in your conference, you don't need to do a great coaching job as much as you just need the right players to match up well against that one team. If Byron had taken multiple teams to the finals I could see your argument. But a one hit wonder doesn't make you a good coach, or, in this case, give you clout over a current player who is now your leading scorer.

Young may be 2nd in scoring on the team, but he mainly scores off of made 3s and FTs. 

He doesn't defend much, and doesn't rebound much despite being 6-7 (2 rebs/game). 

 

He's ideally a 6th man, and that's it.

No 6th man is bigger than the coach.

I had the same exact injury.  It is incredibly painful and the PT/rehab is rough.  Of course he has world class facilities to do it in and a better pain tolerance than me.

He also said he injured the shoulder in camp, but made it worse on the dunk. Would explain his poor shooting.

It's good news all around, as Clarkson and Ellington look solid while the Lakers lose their 9th straight game.

Achieved the trifecta tonight with victories by New York, Philly AND Minnesota.  Doesn't get any better than that.  The tank rolls on!

 

On another note, that Brandon Jennings injury has really hurt Detroit.  For a team playing sooo well and heading for the playoff hunt, they have dropped off a cliff.  They need PG help in the worst way.
