I can't ever hate on Kobe Bryant, because of what he's meant to the Lakers.

They simply erred in giving him two years and not just one year in which this could have been a nice farewell season for him here, since they aren't going to the post-season anyway.

This defense is historically bad.  Read this on a Lakers forum:  "This team is giving up points at the highest points per possession rate of any team since the NBA-ABA merger."

Let that sink in for a minute.  That is stunning to me.

Not stunning to me. No shot blocker. Boozer sucks horribly on defense. Bad rotations. Team full of D-league cast offs. Lin can't play defense. Kobe is too slow defensively to guard any other guard in the league. This team was set up to have the worst D in the league. Feel bad for Byron Scott. He will be lucky to find another coaching job after this stint.

If I'm Kobe, I jack up as many shots as possible and do my best to get as high up the all-time scoring record as I can get. No point in playing team basketball or helping any of the young kids learn. The only young kid that matters is out for the season.

If only this Sixers team wasn't one of the worst teams in NBA history, potentially.

They may give the 1972-73 Sixers team a run for worst 82 game record ever (9-73).

Worst % record belongs to the Charlotte Bobcats at 7-59 in the strike shortened 2011-12 season. 

 

Heck, the Sixers may break BOTH of those records.

So much for challenging the Sixers, of course they are in a pathetic league of their own.

Casper Ware is probably grateful to no longer be on that team, even if he had to go overseas to get a job.
