That couldn't have gone any worse. Blown out and Julius Randle breaks his leg and is likely done for the year

Lebron won two championships with an aging Dwayne wade, Chris bosh, and a bunch of d league players.

Kobe won 5 with one of the most dominant centers ever, a top 10 all time power forward, the greatest head coach ever, and an army of solid role players and bench players. Not to mention the greatest owner ever leading it all.

 

Aging?  Wade was 30 years old the season the Heat won their last title.

Pau, Bynum, Fish, Odom.

Pau was aging in 2009?  He was 29 years old, in the peak of his career.  Same with Odom.

 

Fish was aging.  Bynum was huge that year when he was healthy.

Heat had 4 HOF'ers all in their peak years, sans Allen who was still shooting like he was in his peak years.

Bummer that Randle went down.  This is shaping up to be a pretty bad year.  This team will struggle to score on a nightly basis.  The bright side is that we have a pretty decent shot at keeping our protected pick that we sent to Phoenix for Nash.

Bosh will be HOF. Watch his numbers go back to pre LeBron levels now that he is more the focal point of the offense.

Obviously the star players need help to win the chip. That's the point though, Lebron/Wade/Bosh took paycuts. Would Lebron have any rings in Miami if he didn't take a paycut? Kobe didn't and he has no help now.

Had surgery this morning - out for the season.  No surprises there other than the fact he was able to have surgery so quickly, usually there are issues with swelling the first couple days before they can do the surgery.

LeBron took a pay cut to win his first title. Kobe wasn't highest paid when winning first 3 titles.

 

LeBron will not be taking a pay cut going forward. Watch.

It's not an NBA HOF, it's The Basketball Hall Of Fame, that would explain the standards.

I was planning on going to the game last night but was too burnt out from the weekend...thank goodness I didn't go!  What a pathetic effort by the Lakers.  At least I don't have to make the trek up to Staples to watch them play this year.
