So, let me get this straight:

 

Two division championships, another year in which they got beaten out of the wild card slot by a phantom tag of home plate by Matt Holliday in the 14th inning of the 163rd game of the year, another in which they finished two games behind the eventual world champion is NOT competitive?

 

You have awfully high standards for what "competitive" is.

 

82 win division championship, and a complete non-compete in two NLDS as the highlight of the Petco years? 

 

That sucks.

 

The Pads-Rockies one gamer was pretty cool, though.  One of the best games of the decade.
