That's the season in a nutshell.  And people still want to blame the owner, the manager, the peanut vendor etc etc...  If the defense of the decisions made is to say there was little out there, then there are two options...  Stop blaming people and accept the reality the team had precious little chance to win, or start questioning the decision processes of the people the had direct control over bringing back the pitching the team did have.

It was an offseason roll of the dice for Jerry, and it came up craps.

I can't think of anything that actually went right this year. It was a complete and utter failure of a season in every aspect, from top to bottom.

Pitching is Jerry's one really big fail.. I'll give him a pass on the every day players, but not on this staff.  It sucks.

 

He spent money on Hamilton when he should have went after pitching.
