The second post explains the first post.  What are the announcers supposed to say about the Padres that's good right now?

Should be an interesting series with the Mets. Padres were anything but clutch. The Mets have been the opposite. 

Had the Dodgers lost, would anyone dare question Ohtani's lack of production? 

Tough loss for Darvish. Absolutely no margin for error, and he made two even though it was a high quality start. But the Dodgers staff redeemed themselves the last two games. 

Now the LA./N.Y. fun begins. I bet there are far more Met jerseys in Dodger stadium than Dodger jerseys in New York. And if the Dodgers play the Yankees it will even be more pronounced.

I haven't watched the Dodger series at all, but I saw an ESPN article today that basically depicts the Dodgers as essentially "plucky underdogs", that have "defied the experts" and have overcome sooooo much. It's delusional.

Wow! Do narratives change with a  pitch or two. Skubal going 28.2 scoreless innings then giving up a run on a hit batter followed by a grand slam. He was looking to be in total control yet again. 

Hard to see a Tiger comeback now.

Commentators literally said the batter likes to swing at the first pitch. The pitching coach goes out to talk to Skubal. What does Skubal do? First pitch right down the pipe. What did the pitching coach exactly go out there to say to Skubal then? Stupid Tigers.

Tigers batters either watch, or swing through, way too many pitches in the strike zone. Seeing their offense these past couple games, it's a mystery to me how they got this far.
