Rockies are winning today, keep the tank rolling!! Also the Rockies/Marlins have a 4 game set vs each other next week. Praying Rockies sweep that series. If that happens you might see Perry shut down a couple guys Soriano, Joyce, Ohoppe etc in a race to the bottom.

difference between our current slot and the Rockies slot is about 4.4% better odds

Highly doubt the Angels move ahead (behind?) either of those teams.  They're 5/5.5 games ahead of the Angels.

I was kinda hoping these late season games would at least be somewhat entertaining in terms of seeing the younger guys do well on offense.  There have been some individual hot streaks that have been interesting, but seems like a lot of games lately have been like the one today: just boring, non-competitive games, or one-inning outbursts like last night, before going cold.  Growing pains of younger players and all that, I know...still wish there was some excitement, though.

There's really no one else in the system who deserves to be getting 1B/DH time over Kavadas, but, man, he has looked flat-out awful in his first week.

This pitcher over past 40 innings since going into the rotation, including today, has a 1.80 ERA and 0.60 WHIP.

He only sits 92-94mph.   What makes him so tough to hit against?

Compared to O'Neal, maybe. I think he has declined over the past few years. Tries way too hard to be funny, makes too many pop culture references, strained puns, etc. And gets overly excited on routine flyballs sometimes.
