I am happy to hear this. I’m still not totally sold that Perry is neither a fantastic GM or a GM who can build a championship-caliber team, but I have become increasingly happy with what he has done drafting impact players early, the improvement in the international signing classes, the returns he gets in selling assets, and the coaches he has brought in. I’m starting to come around on his minor league development and the ability to draft talent outside of the obvious picks too. 

I think he really needed at least 2025 to either confirm these trends, so glad that he’ll get at least that. I do think having some longevity in the FO and continuity with the coaching staff has contributed to the disjointed development the last decade and this should help.

At the very least, we should be able to get another quick-to-bigs MLBer or three out of him from the 1st round pick for however many years he just got. I think that alone earned him 2025.

It’s the least Arte can do for basically screwing him and the organization over by not allowing Maniasan to trade away Ohtani at the deadline last year.

Glad to know, the build up of the organization will continue the correct way (from the bottom up/ through the draft, etc).

This is good... provided they actually commit to a rebuild. Like, I get that we'll have to add pieces just to have a roster and all, but if we let Minasian focus resources on acquiring tradable bullpen pieces and young talent, I'm reasonably certain we can start the road to contention.
