"But Trout continued to feel discomfort in the days after that MRI. When he got checked out again, a new tear was found in a bigger spot of the knee. The Angels expect him to be fully ready for the start of spring training next year.

"I believe it's gonna turn," Angels general manager Perry Minasian told ESPN. "He's going to play. My call is he hits 70 homers and wins the MVP. I believe it. Looking at the look on his face, he might have the best year he's ever had next year."

This is misinformation (sorry AO, I love you man).

As an RN who worked many years prior to COVID, throughout the pandemic, and continues to work today, I can attest that complications from the COVID vaccines run right along the same rate as other vaccines and medications in general. ALL medications carry an element of risk. You take something because the benefit outweighs the risk. I've encountered thousands of people both unvaccinated and vaccinated and in general, it is the people who chose to not get vaccinated that are more at risk. I have had zero people present with a complication from the vaccine. That does not mean there is zero risk. But there is risk in taking Tylenol as well. That does not make something unsafe or unneeded. The number of people who benefitted from the COVID vaccines, whose symptoms were mild, who avoided hospitalization, dwarf the tiny percentage of people who had complications that required medical treatment.

You can have a fatal reaction to antibiotics. The odds are fairly high that you might have a reaction to various kinds of antivenom. I'm guessing that you would still want a dose for yourself and encourage a loved one to be treated with antivenom if bitten by a rattlesnake?  You are more likely to die or lose a limb if you choose to skip the antivenom. Risk vs benefit.

I know it's just an Angels message board and I don't want to steer the conversation to politics, but misinformation like this is dangerous for people who don't have the critical thinking skills to defer to the medical professionals that are trying to save lives.

Thank you.

Trout interrupted...sad!

I made a post about a year ago about him achieving 500 HR's for his career, the consensus here was that he would easily hit 600.

At this point he may not get to 400.

Best Halo ever..YES! HOFer....Yes!

Inner circle...questionable. GOAT...prob not.

Happy 33rd Birthday in 6 days, Mike Trout.

Is Moreno covered by insurance for the outstanding balance of the contract?

Still a Hall of Fame career at 12 seasons if the knee is kaput.

Only because of the WAR. The other numbers fall a bit short. But there are the three MVP's, so he's probably in.

One playoff series (2014), swept by a wild card team. Trout and the rest of the offense didn't do squat.

If this is the end, it's very sad. What could have been...

"Come back even stronger" has an ominous tone to it, like he thinks the problem is...strength? How heavy of tires he can push?

Dude, take up yoga. Don't keep repeating what has essentially ruined your career.

I pointed out his ridiculous workout routine pushing those giant tires and people laughed at me. Then he went out and tore his calf jogging back to the dugout after a routine third out and was gone for five months.

Whatever...

Come in here and first comment I see is about Long Covid playing a role in this.  Think I’m done here for a while.

it’s either you guys are really good at excuses or you haven’t hit rock bottom yet.

If you don't like hanging out with a bunch of retards how'd you end up here in the first place?

Agree, that is a concern I have.

Some of these guys are bulking up to much.

Stop training like you’re playing linebacker.

If I was a betting man, I wouldn’t put money on it.

Actually, I’d bet against it happening…..

Guess who started it?

Initially made as a joke (although his sense of humor is pretty shit anyway, so who knows) but the post should have been deleted anyway to keep it from even getting started.

For what it's worth, I appreciate ya around here, and in the other forums.
