Bullpen is in good Hans

Estevez, Strickland, Joyce, Crouse, and Garcia are all pitching well the past month or two, just the one BBs fueled hiccup by Crouse recently.

Someday. Probably not this season.

Probably the end of this season. He has had 9 years to win and he hasn't. The best he did was lose 3-0 in the ALDS three years ago. They have fallen out of first place in the West and are four games back in the wildcard.

Being drinking buddies with Dipoto can only buy so much time and both are probably on thin ice. Fans openly booing the team after a four game sweep makes it's way to the owners box.

Right now Trout is slated to DH for the bees today

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout was removed prematurely from the first game of his minor-league rehab assignment because of knee soreness, the team announced on Tuesday night. Trout struck out in his only at-bat and was slated for five innings but played just two. On Wednesday, the Angels announced that Trout would once again not be in the lineup for Triple-A Salt Lake and would instead return to Southern California for further evaluation.

Trout, 33 come August 7, has not played in an MLB contest since April 29 after tearing the meniscus in his left knee. That injury required an operation, and has sidelined him for nearly three months. In 29 games prior to the ailment, he hit .220/.325/.541 (138 OPS+) with 10 home runs and six stolen bases. His contributions had been worth an estimated 0.9 Wins Above Replacement, according to the calculations housed at Baseball Reference.

"Just got to get the strength back," Trout told the Associated Press in June -- at the time, he had not begun running nearly two months after the procedure. "Kind of felt like this last week has been a little turning point where I can start ramping it up a little bit, see how it feels. It's just trying to find exercises that don't make it ache the next day or irritate it. Finally figured something out that's been working. Just trying to get that strength back.

"I can't run," Trout added at the time. "Certain things get me kind of achy and sore the next day. Trying to limit that, because I don't want to get here and then have a setback and have this (up-and-down) thing. Just trying to progress as fast as I can the smart way."

The Angels entered Wednesday with a 44-57 record on the season, putting them eight games back in the American League West. They're 33-39 during Trout's absence.

this team has so much more fun with no rendon't ...I do believe Anthony is trying but he just doesn't seem to fit into the fraternity of the younger guys !

They won by more runs yesterday with him in the lineup.

Trout is not coming back any time soon. He was pulled from his rehab start and back to Anaheim for evaluation.

I doubt he's back in any serious capacity this year at all. Just like last year when he was cleared, played 1 game and said it hurt to much and shut it down. He'll heal up in time to play golf all offseason.

I have no idea what Rendon provides to the Angels except for relieving Rengifo from playing third. He is a no better than Sano. The Angels have no reason to keep him on the roster except for their inability to develop a functional farm system.

People do not want to hear this but put Trout in same boat as Rendon. This year team is forming a new identity. It is no longer Trout or Ohtani team.

Cortisone shots every 3 months. Ice knees, no more CF and DH on days Calhoun sits.

Painful knees affect your base when hitting causing the hitter to change their swing resulting in Rendon type at bats. Let him rehab.
