Branco is so fucking boring anymore.

Sorry Redondo, didn't want to sound Curt. I can't tell you stop the Branco and I appreciate them and always look at them. He can just insult your intelligence sometimes. I am going to send him a Bob Ross book and see if he can at least do it in oils.

A view from across the pond from Tim Stanley and the UK Telegram.

Kamala’s coronation is a blow for US democracy (msn.com)

This week, the Democratic Party will nominate for president a woman who hasn’t won a single primary.

The diminution of American democracy continues. Three months ago, we were told Joe was fit and well: anyone who said otherwise was a liar. Then he bombed at the debate. The elite realized Trump might win, so now we were told Biden was gravely ill – and horribly selfish for refusing to stand aside. A coalition of hacks and politicians humiliated the poor man off the ticket, a surrender they quickly labelled “historic” and “brave.”

It was Kamala Harris’ turn for a makeover. Yesterday, she was an idiot; today she is the second coming of Lincoln, with quirks that once made her absurd – that crazy laugh, her random use of unrelated words – rebranded as a breath of fresh air.

Today, if the Republicans are held hostage by their base, the Democrats are run by a dwindling, ageing elite – and Kamala, who at 59 is older than you think, was granted her party’s nomination not because she’s a “diversity hire” but because they didn’t want an open contest and she happened to be next in line.

America, after years of messing about, has reverted to monarchy. Welcome home, cousins.

This is one of the dumbest things I've ever read.

Europe is providing a pretty good precursor as to where America is going. For whatever reason libs worship their secular open border socialism. Geography and Christian rednecks are delaying our demise but we are basically following Europe’s path of destruction.

You are upset seeing journalists from other countries choose not to accept Harris as the un-democratic nominated candidate? You weren't even given an option to vote, as in the case of a monarchy or dictatorship. That doesn't upset you, but having it pointed out by an independent of our voting process does. No wonder you side with Hamas.

The same shit would have happened if a sitting Republican president dropped out in July of an election year.

Heck, had Trump died in the assassination attempt or simply dropped out in July, do you really think the Republicans would have held another primary and let the people vote?

Maybe there needs to be a new solution for this very rare scenario. Perhaps our government can work together to create a contingency plan should this ever happen again.

They aren’t upset because they have a better chance of winning with Harris than Biden. If the shoe were on the other foot I don’t doubt R’s would do the same because all either side cares about is winning. That said it’s crazy to me that people are okay with a candidate that didn't win a primary being the nominee. If Biden had pulled out before the primaries I think Harris would have had a repeat of 2020 and gotten destroyed by better candidates. On the plus side we have to be getting closer to rock bottom politically.

The delegates that voted for Biden were not transferred to Harris. You know, the delegates that the people voted for to...vote for Biden in the primary.

They were allowed to vote for whoever they wanted to. They voted for Harris. And how many libs are actually upset about that?

This hasn't happened before in the modern era. Calling it a "monarchy" and "dictatorship" is idiotic and projection. Only one candidate said anything about being a "dictator".

Is it a good system? No. The government sucks. But let's not start using Trump’s hyperbolic rhetoric.

Republicans getting back in line for Trump after January 6th is rock bottom.

Yes, the Republicans would have to have another primary, there was no VP named. The Trump assassination attempt was July 13th, he named Vance as VP on the 15th. Had it been successful or Trump calling it quits at the RNC, they would have to present candidates. But even so, they still are bound to the candidate, not his running mate, so the loss of one triggers the democratic process.

But the Democrats subverted that by actually doing a banana republic coup. There was no 25th amendment action taken to declare the President unfit for office to make the VP the rightful next in line. They just kneecapped Biden and forced a resignation from the race. The VP, like Biden, is a lame duck in office. That would mean a candidate would have to be voted on. But that process was subverted.

Long live the Queen.

There wasn't enough time to do another primary. They had to vote virtually rather than at the convention to avoid being left off the ballot in Ohio. She was the only logical choice to replace Biden.
