I still have hope that something clicks. If they can even get to .240, the team is totally different. The only reason they're still in the lineup is that we're not going anywhere, but I agree with still putting them out there every day.

I think that’s fair. I wasn’t sold on Ward and he obviously figured things out. Rengifo always seemed to have the skill set, just took him awhile to put things together. The frustrating thing with Moniak and Adell is they are both such good athletes…Moniak is a plus defender with speed, Adell has become a good defender, great arm, speed… both hitting .240, as you say, would make this a different team. I guess I’m just skeptical. We’ll see.

I hope they both get a ton of at-bats the rest of this year. Either something will click and it’ll give them reason to keep in the mix for 2025, or if they are still floundering by end of year I think it’ll be safe to say we’ve seen enough that neither should be counted on for next year.
