Too bad they didn't IL Drury.  He hasn't played since the 18th, so they've just wasted a roster spot for more than the length of an IL spot (yes, I know it's "just" a respiratory infection, blah blah).  Still could have made a retroactive move after a few days.

I think they can only make it retroactive like three days back so they probably figured he would’ve gotten better after that point and it’s lingered to the point where it wouldn’t really help them. I’m sure they want him playing asap so they can try to trade him for anything.

Yeah, I know it can only be retroactive for a small amount, but idk, just feels like they could have handled it better.  Even if he comes back and gets hot at this point, I don't think they'll get anyone even mildly interesting for him.  He's not super expensive, but he's also not dirt cheap.  Whoever trades for him will owe him a little less than $4M (give or take, depending on when/if he's traded).
