Rengifo is *so* good at baseball.

Say what you will about the organization, but against all odds we've seen him become a legit ballplayer in front of our eyes.

Aside from the previous start, Canning has settled in nicely.

Innings per start now up to about 5 1/2, but since May 1 it’s close to 6 innings per start.   ERA since May 1 is 3.37 and WHIP is 1.23 over 58.2 innings.

Really surprised Detmers took a dump before Canning. I thought if anything it would be the other way around.

Just a guess but I'm thinking Crouse has probably been in a few bar fights before. Next time we get into a brawl with the Mariners again let's have this guy on the mound please. He totally looks like he could whoop some ass.

Nice efficient game. Canning wasn't fazed by his early home run this time. Pitching solid all around. But Joyce still with some work to do for some more consistent three up, three down innings.

Calhoun back to scalding the ball. Rengifo an all star candidate if on a higher profile winning team. Ward trending up.

No he broke late from 3B slipped and was not even half way down the line. If it was a suicide he would have been at the plate. It was a safety squeeze.

That slider/sinker hybrid thing Joyce has started throwing may actually be the pitch that gives him a MLB career.  It was hitting 99 with 15+ inches of run.

You have to wonder about arm stress to get that much movement, but if he has the mechanics to throw it without undo strain, the league is screwed.
