As I predicted, I think the Angels get Carlson four Garcia, right around the time they trade Ward to Pittsburgh.

I mean, I would argue that's exactly what we have at AA: a bunch of guys who will either have to be added to the 40-man or exposed to the Rule 5 draft this off-season.  Why not just call them up now after some trades are (hopefully...) made, and use the last couple months as an audition period?

Yeah, would make sense there, particularly if Pillar is traded too....obviously they see something they like in Carlson.....and Garcia or Strickland isn't a steep price....

I am sure both will happen.  Also being exposed to the draft doesn’t mean they will be drafted.
