Tons of terrible reviews, but listening to a podcast bash this movie in a pretty smug kind of way, combined with a couple positive reviews mixed made me actually want to see the movie. Will wait until later in the year though.

The family will watch it on DVD at some point.  Seems like that type of film.

Saw it in theaters.  Don't get all the hate for it at all.  It wasn't a great movie by any means.  But it was a good movie and very entertaining.  

 

I'm reading some of the reviews, and just wonder if they watched the same movie I had.  It's like they made up their minds when Depp was cast as Tonto, and decided no matter what they would hate it.

 

Personally, I think it's a theater movie.  The backdrops they use were kind of nice on the bigscreen, and I don't know how it would translate to a tv.

Oh, and the biggest negative about the movie was the original score.  They should have saved it for the end of the movie.  It didn't really fit in where they put it.

It is long and a bit confusing, but funny in a Jack Sparrow way. 
 

Not a great flick, but entertaining.

I enjoyed it as well.  It's not to be taken seriously but it doesn't really take itself seriously either.  Just a fun movie.
