Anyone know anything about Ubaldo Soto in the DSL? He's an 18-year old with a 1.41 ERA in 11 starts, and has only given up 36 hits in 51 IP with 16 walks and 52 Ks - and no HR yet (thus the low ERA). I know, the DSL, but it is a rather eye-catching line (especially the ERA).

Some scout friend of Second Base's: "The kid sucks, hates his mother, doesn't enjoy baseball, and is an all-around horrible human being.  Fastball is ok sometimes, though, I guess."

DSL....  League average ERA is 4.83.  Wish there was credible data on the parks but it appears that Soto kid bears watching.

ANY good news on the farm tonight?

No big games, though it isn't over.

Niko Kavadas had his first HR in the Angels system.

Samuel Aldeghiri had a solid game in AA: 5 IP, 3 hits, 2 ER, 3 walks, 9 Ks.

Mederos is getting shelled in his first A+ start (he was demoted): 4 IP, 6 ER.

Scull, Nicholson, and Foster have two hits a piece for A Inland Empire. All singles except for one 2B for Foster.
