His defense, the versatility that comes with it, and his handedness, are ideal for what the Angels need -- but that weirdness in his performance is hard to ignore. They lose nothing by continuing to monitor his free agency, if his market craters maybe it starts to make sense.  But the nerd stuff really does worry me with him simply because he won't be cheap and the Angels can't take on another long term mistake.

What about his numbers based on moon phases and barometric pressure?

We have SLOWLY started to see moves be made this week. Couple trades and low level signings. I’d assume the further we move along players and families want to know where they will be playing/living sooner rather than later. Boras will have his holdouts but based on nothing I think next week is when things start to get moving especially with Imanaga being forced to make his decision before Thursday

Cue the "A healthy Rendon and Trout is like adding FA" comments from the office

No matter what the team does they’ll only be competitive with those two playing more games than they have. Being upset at comments like that from the front office is looking to be upset. These are throw away comments every team says. Fans for whatever reason think it’s unique or a jab at them personally. It’s literally what every team does when their job is to speak with the media.

Yep. Say nothing when you have to say something.

They didn’t say anything, but that upsets fans. They can’t just say “we signed Plesac to a 1 year $1 million deal and outrighted Kolarekto SLC, peace out” and walk away from the microphone.

Rendon is no longer a good baseball player.
