Not sure why Soriano couldn't have come out for an inning.  He pitched on Saturday, but only threw 6 pitches.  Last outing before that was last Thursday when he threw 22.

Joyce had similar outings: 7 pitches on Saturday, 15 on Thursday. 

Not a big deal one way or the other, though.

Yep, no question!  The actual competition portions of the show haven't been that interesting in quite a while.  I still think American Idol does a much better job of both picking better talent and making the live singing portions much more entertaining.

If they tender him a contract, yes.  I don't really know why they would, though.  His AAA numbers weren't good.  His control is bad and he's just generally been a huge disappointment since he was drafted.
