I thought Sandoval did a lot of work with Hezel the year before Hezel was hired. Hezel was tweeting Sandoval stuff like crazy in ‘22, along with Ohtani and Alex Cobb (and also Carlos Estevez).

Also - was Chiti removed? I thought he received an opportunity to go to another org and they let him.

They “reassigned” Chiti and replaced his bullpen coach position with Hezel.

Then, Buck offered him the bullpen coach job with NYM.
