But...but...no-hitter...

Announcers keep *saying* the Angels are still in it if they keep winning series', but the tone of their voice certainly doesn't sound like it...

Winning the series the rest of the season doesn't even put them at 90 wins. But it's hilarious to even think they could win every series going forward. The postseason hunt is over. Getting swept by Seattle was the end.

This team is a game under .500 on august 11th and just got embarrassed yet again in a “must win” game by a division rival….

1. This team sucks ass and is nowhere near being a playoff team.
2. They play even worse than normal with any sort of pressure on, imagine playing must win baseball for 45 games lol. They will probably go 20-25, if we are lucky.

Seattle now up 7-1 on the Orioles.  Red Sox and Yankees both won.

At least the Angels are staying ahead of the Guardians?

The Mariners…. Idk what the hell it is but everything is going right for them the past couple years… sure they have some decent to good players but I don’t look at the roster and think playoff team. The angels should be much better than them, why can’t this stupid franchise put together a small run to at least get us excited?

Mariners have good depth in both their rotation and bullpen. They've allowed almost 100 fewer runs than the Angels. Obviously makes a huge difference.

It's purely our pitching. Both starting and bullpen.

We churn out starting pitchers (Logan Gilbert, Kirby, Bryce Miller, Bryan Woo, Emerson Hancock) and good relievers.

Starters are 4th in WAR. Relievers also 4th in WAR.

Angels 12th and 27th respectively.

The Angels just flat ass don’t believe in throwing a chase pitch on 0-2. Fucking unreal.

what's funny is they would have great success on getting outs if they did because the hitter thinks a pitch in the zone is coming.

Maldonado getting three hits? And that's just part of the onslaught.  Enough said. Too many pitches in bad locations without much movement or velocity. Easy pickings for the Astros.

And no defensive help from this rag tag infield. Not that it would have made much difference. Rengifo dancing himself out of position on a ground ball was so bush league. And no stat to quantify many plays where positioning and deftness make a difference.

Anyways, looks like the team knows their licked whenever they go to Houston.
