Nice to see Wallach make progress and earn his place on the team. His dad must be happy. He was a great player for many years.

Ohtani needs to tweak his use of the sweeper. Using it a bit too much? If it isn't located well and mixed more with other pitches it is maybe the most hittable of his arsenal. The Oriole announcers, especially Ben McDonald, were stunned by his performance at the plate.  Besides being amazed at his homer they couldn't get over how easily he coasted into his triple. And wondered if he could have scored if he accelerated to top speed. They seemed to hope he'd hit for the cycle. And surprisingly, not a word about pending free agency.

Nice to get away with the win on a day Ohtani didn't have his usual stuff on the mound. Hopefully they can finally win a series after three straight losing series.

The sweeper doesn't seem to  work as well on lefties.
