Gameday Thread: Rangers @ Angels (5/7/23): Suarez on the mound, Rendon is back in, no Neto

Recommended Posts

Suarez far too often sucks when the angels are competitive but when they are far out in the standings starts to pitch well. Also, because its his second time that he's been caught tipping his pitches, one starts to wonder if he is either woefully unprepared all the time to start the season or that he is purposefully throwing games and/or shaving runs. I could say the same for Loup and Tapera to a certain degree. Either way can't win with these guys on the team. I would see if a trade could be made with non contending teams for a AA reliever in exchange for Suarez in order to open up a badly needed roster spot. It may be selling low but its just reached that point where you know he isn't a championship caliber pitcher.

LOL.

This one's on Nevin. He should have known - everyone knew - that the game was about to get out of hand.

Suarez doesnt waste a lot of time telling you when he's off.  Ive said this before, maybe I just can't remember it happening, but the dude just doesn't tend to FIND his command like others can when they stumble out of the gate.

Yep, that's why I said it was on Nevin. He should know better, or he's just stupid.

Yall crazy.

Suarez has been an above average pitcher the last two years over 45 appearances.

He was terrible early last year too.

Him being hurt would make some sense, too.

But GameDay threads are the least rational of the irrational threads on here

Fuck off and go listen to some more AM830 interviews.

I have never had high confidence in Suarez and have always been surprised when he has pitched well.  I couldn’t care less if the Angels move on permanently.
