yep. several times he has been 0-2, then goes to a full count. 20 pitches more than Eovaldi thru 3 innings.  At this rate no more than 5 innings.

Detmers has amazing stuff but he's just not able to finish guys at times this season.

Have to hope he learns from this and eventually figures out how to consitently put batters away. Heaney was never able to do that but Detmers has better stuff than Heaney.

He can't seem to hit fastballs right down the middle. Can crush breaking balls in the middle of the plate.

I was referring to swinging at ball four that was way inside
