I think this is on Nevin pulling a pitcher that is having success to insert one that has a history of giving up inherited runners. Davidson's pitch count seemed within reason to extending him another couple batters to end the inning himself.

The Angels have left 7 men on base so far.  EDIT: Unless you mean the Red Sox?  They have left 12 men on.

The guy hit .140 last year.....in 225 plate appearances....that's not bad, it's pathetic....how good can your defense be to overcome that? Your 4th OF'er needs to play to keep the starters fresh....you can't just use him as a late inning replacement...
