He’s only playing once a week and only at catcher.  Either Thaiss or Lamb needs to go eventually.

Thaiss is not good enough to be a catcher in the MLB, at least not currently.  Lamb shouldn't be on this roster either, but for now, Thaiss should be DFA'd and Wallach added as the backup catcher.  Nobody will claim Thaiss, and we can probably stash him in AAA and let him catch another season of MILB games to try to improve.

The good news is that nobody is surprised by this as this was the one area of the team that looked really bad on paper. Got to hope Perry can find solutions as the season goes on and that Nevin can find a good combination of guys he can lean on for these high leverage innings.

I'll begin to worry about the team and their chances at contending if/when we keep seeing guys like Tepera and Loup pitching in these situations in June/July. Let them sink early in the year and make it apparent that they aren't the answer for these situations
