The mariners have everything going right. Pitching, bullpen, clutch hitting. They simply can’t lose.

everything I hoped the angels would do in the second half. Meanwhile we are stuck in the mud and can’t do anything right, even when we try. Season done in august once again.

Their rotation sets everything up.  The complete opposite of how ours has consistently tanked games.

Good summary of the Wander Franco situation. It does confirm that the investigation involves two different girls.

Aside from the gross allegations, I can't imagine how devastating this is to the Rays and how if that happened to us with our franchise player.

Obviously no shot from guys like Trout and Ohtani, big character guys, but losing potentially a player of that caliber for life because of some stupid shit.

Not just stupid shit, evil predatory shit.

In more states than fewer, the age of consent in the US is 16. Age of consent in Japan is 13 years old.

What happened to Bryce Harper's power? 4 HR in 261 PA. He's hitting .300 with a .395 OBP, both above his career norms, but slugging .426 with a .126 ISO (compared to career .519 and .238). Weird.

Actually, his power was down last year too: from a career second best .305 ISO in 2021 to .227 in 2022 to .126 this year.

.296/.386/.544 with 8 homers in 33 games since this post.

No mention of the Angels as of one the 10 teams who scouted Yoshinobu Yamamoto's recent start.  Of course, that doesn't mean that they couldn't have already scouted him in person or plan on doing so in the future.  (I know @Angel Oracle has mentioned Yamamoto a handful of times as a possible target for the Angels.)

With Ohtani’s pitching future in doubt, it would be dumb to not pursue him.

Because the M’s have balance in the lineup, while Moreno loves having mostly stodgy station to station power hitters.   And the ones with speed aren’t allowed to run wild.

Holy crap, Mookie Betts is killing it. He's hitting .310/.405/.605 with 34 HR, 171 wRC+ and 7.0 WAR, and is on pace for the second best season of his career (after his MVP 2018).

He's gotten better and better all year, but since June 28: .407/.498/.779, 237 wRC+ in 207 PA. Last 11 games: .585/.630/.902, 318 wRC+. Insane.
