Thoughts on Trevor Bauer?

I assume that he wasn't getting traction (for the reasons I stated a few days ago) and he decided to go to the best foreign league he could to show that he's still pitching at an elite level and worth the headache he will cause.  It is his best move at this point.

Roberto Osuna did this.  He went to Japan last season, posted an ERA below 1.00, A WHIP of 0.607, K/9 of nearly 10.0 and despite only being 28 had no takers this year.  People can argue that Osuna actually is a wife beating POS and deserves to be black-balled but so are Urias in LA, German in NY, and Chapman in NY now KC. But why was it OK for him to pitch for three years after the incident?  Also, Chapman has a rep for being a terrible teammate as well as his past DV issue and still found a job.

MLB is all over the place with this.

Probably the best shot he has.  He hasn't pitched in the MLB for 2 years.  No team will sign him unless they know what they are getting.  Pitch in Japan, which is probably the second best baseball league in the world, get the arm back.  Then come trade deadline, if his contract allows, he could sign onto a MLB team, or finish out in Japan and be in a better position for next offseason.  Either way, the Doggies are still paying him this season.
