He was hurt.  Played Aug 4, then didn't play again until the 15th and missed/sat out a couple other games.  So he has, in fact, hit in all 9 games he has played in August coming into tonight.

I would leave Velasquez at SS, Rengifo at 3b and Fletcher at 2b for the rest of the year…..see what Velasquez can do with a few more AB’s….you know Rengifo can play 2b, get him some time at 3b so he can be a back up plan for any more Rendon injuries…..

Sounds like a fair decision to me. Let him get as many outs as possible.
