“Clippers owner Steve Ballmer is not believed to be interested.”

“Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, who has looked into buying the Dodgers and other major league teams, told The Times he is not interested in pursuing the Angels.”

“Anaheim Ducks owners Henry and Susan Samueli, the owners of Orange County’s other major team, are not believed to be interested in the Angels.”

The article also mentioned Joe Lacob and Stan Kroenke:

”Can’t answer this question that fast,” Lacob told The Times on Tuesday. “We look at good opportunities.”

He added a smile emoji.

Lacob could be outbid by the Rams’ Stan Kroenke, who was a runner-up in the Dodgers’ bidding in 2012 and who could emulate his development around Sofi Stadium in the Angel Stadium parking lot. A representative for Kroenke declined comment.”

Lacob seems to be the most logical candidate so far.

- He has tried to buy the Angels (and other MLB teams) in the past.

- He grew up as an Angels fan.

- His response wasn't a "no" and that smile emoji added at the end of his response stands out.

Better have a big investment team as part-owners then.   Only worth around $1.5 billion, and Kroneke is worth 7 times that.

MLB teams are much more pricey to own than NBA teams.  Ballmer, he ain’t.

Only downside to Kroneke is already being stretched thin, as owner of the Rams, Avs, Nuggets, and a British soccer team.

Granted two of those four teams won it all this past year, and the Nuggets are a solid franchise.

But Kroenke wouldn't be buying, KSE would most likely. His son Josh runs the 2 teams in Denver. I imagine he'd have someone else in his group run the Angels. His teams win, though. He lets GMs run the teams and spend as required to do the job

As a Rams fan since 1966, I’ll vouch for him, finally bringing the Lombardi Trophy to the “LA” Rams for the first time (not acknowledging the Frontiere Rams in StL.)

If not Ballmer, then Kroneke’s group is my second choice.
