This is sad, we finally get a break on a trade like this with a guy who comes out hot, and then this!  I know it's a really small sample size, but this kid looks good, I hope he gets a fresh chance next year.

First off, I feel horrible for Mickey.

This certainly clouds the Angels OF future. Moniak was likely gonna get the next 2 months as a try-out of sorts for either a starting OF role or a 4th OF role.

If he’s now out for the season, the most they could do is pencil him in as the 4th OF. But even that is a stretch.

The Angels had the opportunity to give extended run these last two months and now they can’t.
