Good and bad. Good because he won't risk re-injury. Bad because his injury is worse than originally thought.

Unfortunately we're at the point that it is hard to deny that Trout is injury prone.

Eh, Trout wants to spend some time at home with his wife and son. Understandable.

As fans of this team we all should have known it was worse than reported.

I’ve had some serious back spasms before and they can linger. Seems like swinging a bat would be a problem

I've never had serious back problems long term but when my back has hurt it scares the shit out of me because it makes you practically unfunctional, then you start wondering if it's ever going to go away and if it doesn't how could I possibly go through life this way. I don't wish back injuries on anyone.

Usually a good couple back stretching sessions combined with some back strengthening workouts do the trick and it goes away, but I'm not swinging a baseball bat every day.

That’s the thing, just because it doesn’t hurt doesn’t mean it’s strong enough to play professional level sports
