16 more strikeouts.  Overall, pitching isn't the biggest problem here.  It is the fact that the Angels lead major league baseball in striking out.  

The offense gives up too many outs by the strikeout.  If we trade for anything, find some players with high OBP, and play them.

Exactly. Look up team hitting and look at strikeouts. Angels #1 by a comfortable margin. Astros near the bottom in the league in strikeouts. Are the Angels just unlucky enough to have assembled a bunch of strikeout-prone hitters??  I don’t think that’s the case. 
The team fires their, WS-winning manager in the midst of a 12-game (at the time) losing streak yet this team strikes out like a fat, bald, drunk guy at a nightclub and their hitting coach’s job is safe?  Do something perry.
