Would O’Hoppe, Bachman and Paris get Pablo Lopez?

Everyone said the Angels didn’t have a prospect good enough to lead a deal for a controllable starter and now they have O’Hoppe.

They have zero need for Pablo Lopez.

I read that we're deep in discussions with Toronto over Syndergaard - sure this os far fetched, but I saw Gabriel Moreno mentioned earlier - that's a pretty steep price for a couple months of Syndergaard - maybe the O'Hoppe deal was to package and get Moreno back?

The Jays have Kirk and Jansen as well as Moreno, so...Kirk has been a surprise, but he's only 23. Jansen is 27. They don't really need O'hoppe and will likely trade one of the other three in the offseason.

I want Biggio back from the Jays. He's struggled and needs a change in scenery, just like Marsh, but he doesn't strike out like Marsh.

Did your poppi tell you this O'Hoppe to be flipped?

The Angels don’t need a good young starting pitcher coming into his prime?  Huh???

Zero need was harsh. But getting a guy with Two years of arbitration control for three of their five top prospects? No.

Could they use him, sure. But the pitching depth in the minors has really stepped up. And the young guys in the majors all look promising.

What this team needs is Catching help with offensive upside (which they just got), help in the middle infield, and a veteran OF bat... hopefully that's what's coming with Syndergaard and in the offseason.

I think you are ignoring that the deal I mentioned would be to try to compete in 2023 and would accomplish keeping Detmers.
