Defense skills are better than Lagares’, per scouts.

Hopefully he’s only needed as a 4th OF, if Marsh can finally start hitting vs lefties.

Three of four prospects the Marlins got in the trade are already no longer with the Marlins org.  The only one left has a .562 career MLB OPS.

Brinson was DFA’d during the off-season.
 
The Cabrera and Yelich trades should serve as a warning to anyone wanting to trade Trout or Ohtani.

Harrison has a fun set of tools. Good defense, good power and speed too. Never put it together in the major leagues though. Hasn't really figured out out in AAA either. Still, why not?

we've got tons of guys that can hit minor league pitching. the problem is when they get called up they don't get to hit against the angels' pitching.

Exactly. I think sometimes these deals of magnitude are only franchise altering because the teams making the exchange build their team around such changes. The personnel themselves may not be. 

Remember the package the Marins got from Detroit for Miguel Cabrera? And how the Angels reportedly were the runner up? 

It was certainly franchise altering for Detroit, but it definitely didn't do move for Miami.

He will be back on the Angels later this year.

How about platooning Marsh and Harrison?

Marsh .512 OPS vs LHP

Maybe only hitting vs RHP can help Marsh to start hitting again?  He would still be starting well over half of the games, since more RHPs exist?

Both are good defensively.
