So then you want Trout to just take the day off instead? What player replaces him that could do better? I know his overall numbers are bad but he is sporting a .392 OBP which is better than any other guys that would play instead of him. If Trout is the DH, it means Ohtani is not playing so your lineup would not have Trout or Ohtani in it.

Playing Trout 4 games in CF in just over 2 days seems like a bad idea.

Nah. Put ward at 3B. But maybe 3B is too physically taxing for him at the moment since he’s just coming back from injuries.
