When I was looking at stats yesterday he had a 100 OPS+.

I agree. But he’s basically been an average offensive player based on OPS+. Not great, not bad. Oh and I like the barrel stat. Velazquez has more than twice the barrels this season in 60 games than Fletcher does in his career.

I think I’d be less upset if he didn’t arrogantly proclaim that his hip surgery resolved all his issues, and that anyone that doubted that should (laughter) go watch a few ABs from last year. He started out very slowly before the wrist problem. I get he wishes he was out there, but it’s up to him to deal with the expectations of a 7-245 contract, not on fans to stand by his side that after 40% of that he has been a total bust. 

They have to do something. Matt Duffy and Jack Mayfield will get them 15 games under .500.
