Ohtani is just completely lost this year. He swings at everything and rarely makes solid contact. Feels like 90% of his at bats end in strikeouts or rollovers to the right side. Sigh

I get that there aren't a ton of options, but Mayfield is such a low bar to clear.

He had a .508 OPS in AAA. THAT'S HORRENDOUS, and he can't play adequate defense.

Inner diamond defense is pretty shoddy once you put in subs. Rendon and Fletcher also missed.

get creative, Perry. If you don't like any other options in the system, look at guys in AAA within other organizations.

Look at the Giants today. They traded for a catcher who was tearing it up in AAA with the Phillies because they needed a backup catcher and didn't like their internal options.
