Sometimes you can try really, really hard and fail.  To me it doesn’t mean you’re entitled to a participation trophy.

I’m sure you’ve tried hard and failed many, many, many times.

Nobody cares about participation trophies but you missed the point brother. There's maybe 10-20 players in baseball where you know what you're going to get. And there are very few relievers in that category.

All you can do is try to get dudes who the the most likely to work out well. Iglesias Loup and Tepera seemed like good bets to anyone with any baseball sense. But being the Angels, it hasn't worked out so far this season because reasons.

And I have failed despite effort, yeah, just like i'm sure you haven't won every case you've tried.

Fine, but he still assembled a bullpen that sucks major ass.  I don’t know what else to tell you.  He failed at his job.

Which is stupid but it’s what us fans do.  With all of the turnover the team has had this season is completely independent of the last several years. We literally have 2-3 guys from five years ago, much less ten years ago.  We have something like 8 new guys from last year.

That is true, but telling it to fans who have seen year after year after year of losing, don’t be surprised to get a different answer.

Only when they at least finish over .500, will some relief finally come to them.

Don’t know what is going on with Iglesias, but they bucked a current trend in bringing in softer tossers in Loup and Tepera.

So many bullpens today have an arsenal of guys who can reach mid-upper 90s.

Guys like Ortega are the future for the Halos.   He gears it up into the upper 90s with a decent to solid second pitch.

If Bachman were to end up being an elite closer by the mid 2020s, his #9 pick will still have been a decent enough one.

He’s got the heat and the wipeout slider to do it.

The road to the wild card begins right there.

The division title might take a total rebuild of the team and perhaps new ownership. Houston is a well-run organization. We're not. The cheating is no longer a factor. They simply know how to put together a winning team on the field.

Not about cheap, but it's about Arte. Arte and Joe are long time pals and drinking buddies. While Scioscia would head home to Thousand Oaks right after games, Joe would hang out and have a few beers with Arte.

I dont think Joe is going anywhere.

What? Since when can't we approve, or give thumbs up.. to our own posts?
