Watched the first episode last night. Pretty predictable plot and solidifying character roles. Hope it picks up after this.

season premier of Castle was on monday night. not sure if anyone else here watches it, but i feel like the story line about the death of her mother has played too long and needs to be put to rest.

Not as good as I hoped. It reminds me of Narcos, if you have followed or are interested in the main character and know the history there's nothing really new here or unexpected.

 

Watching dudes like Cumberbatch with a Boston accent is kind of distracting.

 

Worth a watch if you like gangster flicks, but not as good as the praise/commercials want you to believe.

watched the series debut of limitless this week, about the guy who takes some pill that gives him super mental abilities. i liked it and will watch it again.

Some french movie about an immigrant in france (from senegal) whos trying to stay under the radar and gets involved with some kind of hot older lady.  It was a good movie, cool to see hardships, triumphs and human emotion in a more foreign setting.  Ten years ago I wouldnt have stood for a film with 0 gunshots or nipples.

I seem to be the only person on earth who felt that movie was highly overrated and that things like 95% positive ratings on Rotten Tomatos and other review aggregator sites must have been gamed. 

 

The movie seriously features a guy playing an electric guitar with a flamethrower attached to it ... in the middle of a post-apocalypic wasteland with extreme resource shortages. The whole movie reminded me of this scene:

Once again they mix in average shows to go with the good ones. 4 more to go so hope they are all good ones.

I thought it sucked too. I dozed off twice and left pissed that I actually paid to watch a two hour car chase.
