Daisy Jones & The Six on Amazon Prime is good. It's a rock 'n roll love story. Well acted, they even produced an album of original songs believe it or not. The music and performances reminded me of the duets of John Doe and Exene Cervenka of X, whose songs are frequently about love and marriage.

Limited series, 10 episodes. Stars Riley Keough who is the granddaughter of Elvis Presley. You may remember her from The Girlfriend Experience.

Challenger: The Final Flight - this was a well done short series. if you're a shuttle fan or space fan, you'll like this. i was hoping they would address the rumor that the astronauts were still alive after the explosion but died from the impact with the water, but this was never mentioned. Peter Billingsley, he of "A Christmas Story" fame, has a part in this documentary that was interesting and unexpected.

The Night Agent - Netflix - started watching this last night and was pulled right in. it centers around an fbi agent and witness protection. i'm 2 episodes in and can't wait to watch more. here's the trailer for it:

Succession: Season 4, Episode 3. Some fantastic acting in this episode, I'll leave it at that until you've all watched it.

What an episode.

Spoiler

Honestly, I initially thought tit was some kind of ploy by Logan.

"Inside Man" on Netflix.

Not the Spike Lee joint, this is a new limited series. I got through the first two episodes before I could no longer bare how stupid it was. I can get behind the murderer who helps solve crimes from behind bars but it was done so much better in Silence of the Lambs. The other story, about a priest who helps a member of his congregation hide porn from his mother is beyond absurd. That it would lead to him imprisoning the woman who finds it in his house is perhaps the most contrived plot line I have ever seen put on screen.

Watched the first episode of “Race to Survive Alaska.” Intense and interesting.

Thanks for the heads up, @Lou

Watched E2. It's somewhat compelling, buy not as good as the Alone series.

One thing I don't like is that there is a camera crew and others flowing them.

Spoiler

In E1 one contestant had to be air lifted because of extreme heat stroke. I don't know if she would have made it without the help of those keeping tabs on the contestants on the trails.

Evil Dead Rise (currently at 96% on Rotten Tomatoes). Saw the west coast premiere last night.  If you're into intense and gory horror, this one delivers.  You don't really need to be familiar with any of the other Evil Dead movies to enjoy this one.  This one tells you everything you need to know.  Lots of creative kills and bloody scenes.  You'll never look at a cheese grater the same way...

The original Evil Dead scared the crap out of me when I was little and the 2013 version was ok. I think I’ll check this one out

If you enjoyed either/both of those, then I would very surprised if you didn't like this one.

And as a side note: if any of you ever get the chance to go to any screenings run by Beyond Fest, go for it.  They're always a blast and the energy/environment always adds to the experience of the movie.

Netflix:  The Mole  So this is a reboot from the reality show from the early 2000's.  It stayed pretty true to the original.   The person I thought was the mole ended up winning it, so I was wrong.  A lot more player misdirection and sabotage in it than I remember from past shows.
