Interstellar- B-/C+  A pretty cool movie if you're into astronomy/physics etc. Really makes you think, but definitely not one of Nolan's best films. Some pretty cool actor cameos though which I thought was a nice addition.

Second viewing. A Jamaican foreign film of Scarface meets Menace II Society. Probably a bit of City of God in there. Good gangster flick.

I thought Interstellar was fantastic. Might be my favorite Nolan film. Definitely the most "human" film he's done, and the questions it raises about space/time, empathy, survival, humanity, and love are fascinating. I might go see it again in IMAX.

Interstellar.  Torn on it.  Thought it was very long on the tooth.  Too much setup for stuff, which accounts for it being an almost a 3 hour movie.  

 

It also got weird at the end.  

 

It was a good movie, but they could have cut the movie by 30 minutes and still accomplished the same goal.

I saw Birdman today. One of the best-acted movies I've seen in recent memory. Also brilliantly shot, with several "long take" scenes. Even so, there was something about it I didn't particularly like, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe the fact that none of the characters are particularly likable.

Nightcrawler - B.  This movie and the protagonist could be a spiritual successor to "American Psycho."  Nothing great, predictable, but still entertaining.

 

Let's Be Cops - B-.  Yeah, it's dumb, impossible, has a Wayans in it, and it's dumb.  Still has a lot of funny moments and the two leads play well together.  Plus, and I know this makes me sound like a dirty old man, Nina Dobrev makes it watchable.

The presentations and focus groups are the best. I think also, all 4 of them are so likable in their own way. Funny stuff most of the time.

I liked what I have seen before, but never watch Tru TV or even know what channel it is on my guide. I don't like a lot of comedy out these days, but dig what I have seen in the past. I think this is a clip from the episode I watched. Pretty funny.

Brandon, the show is funny but don't overdue it.  It wears fast.  I DVR'ed a ton of episodes and it got boring.  Now I just catch the show whenever I am channel surfing and I laugh at it again.

If I come across it I'll watch. I like the shock value or being in uncomfortable situations type stuff.

 

But yeah, I don't plan on binge watching it this weekend.

Curse of Oak Island on the History Channel.

 

Two brothers who purchase the majority of Oak Island to search for possible treasure left there by either pirates or the Knights Templar.  Who doesn't like treasure hunting?

Just watched "Interstellar"

 

I'm a huge Nolan fan, but this film did not live up to the hype.

 

Visually stunning, and superbly-acted, but the glaring plot holes were to vast to be ignored.

 

Interstellar - 7.5/10

Big Hero 6.  Yeah, animated movie.  It was a very predictable movie.  But none the less, it was enjoyable.  

 

The short film called Feast they showed before Big hero 6 was very good.
