I've been watching the 5 part documentary on ESPN called O.J.: Made in America. It's part of the 30 for 30 doc series. Easily, the most exhaustive doc I've seen about the topic. Really long though. Each episode is 2 hours (a little shorter if you fast forward through the commercials). Would recommend to anybody interested in learning a little bit more about a topic you thought you already knew everything about.

He's an even more entitled piece of shit than we thought.

New show that just started up, but decided to watch both episodes over the weekend.....Animal Kingdom on TNT. Not sure what to expect from them, but hear good things about Southland.

Basically it seems like Sons of Anarchy meets Point Break. Looking up more info I guess it's some adaption of a indie Aussie movie that hipster nerds are pissed that American writers ruined.

Seems ok like Sons of Anarchy was....not going to win awards or blow off any doors, but not bad and one of those decent second or third tier shows that you'll like if you enjoy the genre.

It's on Tuesday nights, but my dvd kept saying error last night, so still only seen the two episodes. Looking around the scores are 8.3 on IMDB and I've seen two Rotten Tomato scores of 72% and 81%.

The main mom chick is basically Gemma, to a T. Looks like there is going to be a heavy focus on the family aspect like Sons of Anarchy.....but I guess even Sopranos was like that.

The one thing that I'm reading about the Aussie movie was that it was intentionally awkward and uncomfortable and that translates over. There is kind of a creepy mommy dearest thing going on where the viewer is going to wonder about incest or the kids are fucked up and have some screws loose. I don't know what to fully make of it.

Seems alright for now and something to throw in between GoT, Peaky Blinders, and Ray Donovan coming back next Sunday.

I've been watching a  series on NatGeo called Missing Dial. An explorers son goes to Costa Rica  on his own and ends up missing. Down to the last show on Sunday. The dad hired some private investigators and they are really turning over ever stone to find out what really happened. The last person to see him was his guide and his story is full of holes and he keeps changing it.

Donovan is back. Watched the first episode of the new season last Sunday.  Without going into much detail, it was interesting on how they addressed the ending of last season for both Donovan and his father.

Anyone else watching?

I dig it. It's weird, it's like they got new writers (I think they may really have) and just took the show in a whole different direction the past season and with this new episode. Maybe it's just the first season was good, then the Sopranos-esque family aspect and the whole Cookie shit just got weird, they decided to scrap the path, and went in a new direction.

One of the unique things is they had to go in a different story arc anyway because Katie Holmes has a schedule conflict and needs to pull out of the show for some kind of dream role in a movie or show.

Good show.

I actually like how the story has taken a new direction and I like the new softer and understanding Donovan.  He experienced redemption and looks like he's putting his life back, then bam, he has to regress back to his old self.

I'm looking forward to seeing how this season turns out.
