Watched last nights episode of Ray Donovan.  What a great season.

I gotta give cruise credit. As weird as he is, he's continued to stay in Hollywood as an a lister for a he'll of a lot longer than most. And a guy his age who stays fit enough to be believable in action roles is pretty impressive.

He's crazy as shit.  But IMO, his movies haven't been bad.  I've kind of enjoyed them.  I guess the same thing can be said about Mel Gibson movies.  Although there are more duds in the Mel Gibson arsenal than the Cruise.

So I'm watching Jaws for the upteenth millionith time. 

When the shark is chasing the boat, and you see the three barrels in the water following.  If you look at the boats wake, you can see the tow cable for those three barrels. 

It's silly, but I love when I see something new in a movie that I've seen countless times.

Watched a doc called Requiem for the American Dream. It's on Netflix right now. In it, Noam Chomsky discusses how the concentration of wealth and power among a small elite has polarized American society and brought about the decline of the middle class. Really interesting.

8 episodes into TURN

Based on a true story about how the spy ring was formed during the Revolutionary War. The writers took some liberties with the characters and timelines. They based the series on a book. Alexander Rose’s excellent book Washington’s Spies: The Story of America’s First Spy Ring

We are enjoying it so far. There are many lulls and predictable parts, but overall a good watch. I like watching shows from different time periods in history to see the attire and how they lived.

Yeah they stretched the racial bounds with that movie but then again if you watched Airplane that also did as well
