Finished The Blacklist season 2

Better than season 1 with longer plots and more twists. Still very corny at times. Red is cold blooded for sure.

Will watch season 3 when it's released to see how the plots continues.

The problem I have with The Blacklist is they have a world class killer with his henchmen on the loose and they send two agents to apprehend with no backup. Or when they do have the entire anti terrorist team it is to raid an empty room. Conveniently they all do their dirty work within a sixty mile radius of downtown DC.

reminds me of hawaii 5-0, where it's just the 4 of them that bring down a major link in the drug cartel. rarely, if ever, is there any backup.

the 60 mile radius idea made me think of an episode of 24, one of the later seasons, where jack was working in lancaster/palmdale. he got a phone call that told him to get to the ontario airport, and he said he could be there in 20 minutes.

finally got around to watched Nightcrawler last night.

it was just OK.

my wife bailed half way through. she was pretty bored.

i thought the second half was more interesting, but still nothing great.

i kind of waited for it to draw me in but it never did.

the shots of downtown LA were fun.

but it wasn't really a noir. there are many better examples of that.

donnie darko was good.

but i felt like they couldn't really decide what they wanted to do with his character and the movie.

are they trying to make him psychotic but funny, like patrick bateman?

or just kind of dark and odd, like travis in taxi driver?

or just be the bad guy?

he didn't really get any emotional response from me. i just kind of didn't really care either way.

i wasn't rooting for him or against him.

i thought the sidekick did well in his role.

the story was kind of meh. things seemed to just always work out for him.

thats boring.

but its not like he's keyser soze and brilliant.

its just being lazy on the part of the writers.

renee russo was hot though as always.

I am about half way through Nightcrawler. Not sure if I'll get through the rest. This is a B film that had too high a profile cast to play characters way dumber than need be. It smacks of being a contract fulfillment film to get a better picture to be in.

This season took a major turn.  I am still wondering, and I think, it's a smokescreen.  But if it's real, yeah, they really changed the show.  Probably for the better.

Fantastic script? It's a book adaption dumbed down for the average Joe to understand the mortgage crash/recession. I still know people, and had a conversation with a 30 broker, over the weekend about the movie as they didn't understand the secondary market....thus the movie.

The one thing I like is Christian Bale's character in real life is extremely quirky and he seems to pass it off with flying colors.

don't know if anyone else here watches Castle, but last week they announced that Kate Beckett and Lanie the medical examiner will not return next season. Producers are citing costs as the reason why.

if you're a fan of the show, then you know this season has been a total drain and as uninteresting as it can possibly be. without one of the major characters, it's probably a good time to put this show to rest.

Binge-watched a bunch of episodes of "The Girlfriend Experiment" on starz.

Borderline porn but pretty interesting show. Half-hour episodes so it moves along quickly.
