Checked out the Minority Report TV show on FOX last night. Interesting concept and a decent budget for tv. Some good stuff and some cheesy stuff. I'll probably give it a few more episodes and see where it goes.

i watched the premier of limitless and liked it. the only downside was that their volume would go from loud to barely a whisper and it was a pain in the butt to set my tv volume at a comfy level with both my wife and daughter already asleep.

 

i stopped watching after parts of the second episode to watch chicago fire. i may go back as chicago fire is so predictable and keeps running a new variation of "we're going to shut down your fire house for good!" it's become pretty tiresome.

Agree. A few years back one of our channels was running the entire series. I tried to watch as many as I could even though I have seen them before..

 

i really liked the first two seasons with david caruso. he was really good in that role. jimmy smits was good, too, but i liked caruso better.

Agree. Caruso had a way about himself on that show and the best seasons were with him.

That first movie that Caruso was in after he inexplicably left NYPD Blue was the worst. What an idiot. I think Nic Cage was in it too.

i seem to recall hearing that caruso was one of those actors that became impossibly difficult to work with.

 

after his success on NYPD blue, he may have thought he was the best actor ever and started hurting his own career because of it. not sure i've seen him in anything since csi miami ended. he certainly hasn't been doing movies.

pretty good so far.

 

crazy to see the dude from true detective as a HS kid with long hair,

and the coach is the guy from bloodline (granted i have only seen the pilot of that show)

Watched Amy. Documentary about Amy Winehouse. Was never a fan of her music, but was curious to see what led to her downfall. It's a really sad movie. The dude she married was a real POS. Got her hooked on heroine. She obviously could have said no, but she had an addictive personality. Chick really liked to party. Interesting watch. Definitely worth checking out.

It isn't normally my genre but she was very talented.  Not like normal pop music with all the theatrics and computer generated crap.  Just her voice.  Really sad that she died so young and couldn't beat addiction.

I agree. She had a great voice. Not my type of music, but I recognize talent when I see it. Most of the male figures in her life had negative influences on her. Her dad was kind of dipshit too. Interesting doc.

I just purchased the season pass for Fargo season 2 on iTunes.

I hadn't been able to catch the first 4 episodes due to school stuff, but I'm looking forward to binge watch them tonight.

Watched the special edition of Encounters of the 3rd Kind last night, since the alien thing has been planted in my brain by Fargo.

Lots of stuff that was not in the original version.

skyfall - this was fun. little slow at points and javier bardem went from scary to super gay all of a sudden, but pretty good. made me want to drink some macallan 50 year.

Chef was a fun movie. Food porn, a good soundtrack, Scarlett Johansson, Jon Favreau, and a decent story. Also, Sofia Vergara with the accent toned down.
